NX5 Hole, I can not find the command..

In NX8.5 this command does not exist. Is there a similar command?

Sorry dude i don't know abt 8.5 but in 8 it is using the same name.

 

If u still can't find it use the commend finder to find it.

That feature has been removed from NX8.5. (to my latest information)

I use 8.5 version and it have the command hole as always, it must be an installation issue.

Sorry but the question was if the PRE-NX5 hole was still available in NX8.5. It isn't.

I do not want to open sketch.I want to select the drill surface directly.The command adds the point. I do not want it.

Why would you not want to use the sketcher? Positioning constraints are so much easier then using the old  (pre-NX5)positioning.

You can even create a group of points prior to placing the hole and select that group for placement. The hole will be created at all the selected  points...

The reason that a LOT of users do not wish to open the sketcher is that we DESPISE the "sketch function" and avoid using it if at all possible.  The "pre-NX5 hole function" worked extremely well and longtime UG/NX users (I started on UG15) are getting fed-up with the Ideas crowd forcing us to use their crappy command structure.  This ill-advised and second-rate hole function that requires the use of sketch is the worst of the lot.  There is no valid reason that a call function that worked just fine up through NX7.5 was removed other than to spite the longtime UG user community.

I'm using my spare time (when that bad joke of a PDM system, "Teamcenter", another piece of less-than competent legacy code from the Ideas group) is intermittently KAPUT, to work towards building a custom macro to restore the pre-NX5 hole call function so that the users can tell you Ideas code monkeys to go sit 'n spin.  Never P-O an engineer- we create creative solutions for a living and will OWN you.
